⚒️ Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited advises that diamond drilling is scheduled to commence in two weeks at Ferro South, part of its 100%-owned Llahuin Copper-Gold-Molybdenum Project in Chile, following the large copper intercepts previously reported to ASX on 4 August and on 1 September 2026.
-
Diamond drilling to commence in two weeks, targeting the new Ferro South copper-gold-moly discovery at Llahuin, Chile
-
Drilling planned to 300m depth, extending to 500m on visual mineralisation
-
Following up the large copper zones reported 4 August 2026, including:
-
241m @ 0.42% CuEq incl 143m @ 0.51% CuEq from 36m in 24LHRD067
-
- The program is designed to expand the Llahuin resource and identify the potential source of mineralisation (feeder zones)
-
Initial assay results expected towards the end of November 2026
Chairman Mark Stowell commented:
“This program is expected to run for approximately 10 weeks for an initial 2,000m and open for extension on results. Llahuin, hosting a JORC compliant resource from surface of 218mt M+I+I in a well-preserved copper-gold porphyry system over ~3km strike length forms the basis of a serious copper play. Llahuin’s results to date warrant a lot more drilling to value add for shareholders.”
Drilling is planned to 300m depth and may be extended on visual mineralisation to ~500m downhole. Core will be sent to the laboratory for assay at regular intervals with initial results expected to be received towards the end of November 2026 given standard turnaround times.
Priority holes are planned as below, and the program may be adjusted depending on the visual interpretation.

Should results from Ferro South confirm extensions of mineralisation, the Company intends to extend the drill program and continue expanding the known mineralisation for a further JORC compliant resource update.
Results will be reported in due course.
