⚒️ Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited has commenced an expanded diamond drilling program at its 100% owned Llahuin Copper-Gold-Moly Project in central Chile.

Llahuin hosts a 218Mt JORC M+I+I resource and this program targets further expansion of the 3km strike copper/gold/molybdenum porphyry system.

Chairman Mark Stowell commented:

“We have been looking forward to drill testing deeper targets at the Llahuin Copper-Gold Project, and now we have some interesting core emerging from assay.”

Program Overview

The campaign covers approximately 1,000 metres of diamond drilling across three key prospects: Ferro South, Ferro Central, and Cerro. Each hole targets lateral and vertical extensions of mineralisation previously intersected in RC holes that were halted by groundwater ingress.

Recent Fieldwork

This including geological mapping, soil and rock-chip geochemistry, and reinterpretation of historical drilling – points to a large-scale copper system with multiple mineralised centres. Drill pad clearing at Ferro South has already exposed visible oxide copper at surface, reinforcing near-surface potential. Strong structural and lithological controls also appear to localise higher-grade zones within the broader porphyry system.

Target holes

This program extends four RC holes that ended in mineralisation:

  • RDLLA134 – extends from 204m, which ended in higher-grade mineralisation (24m @ 0.78% CuEq from 180m) – refer figure 2 below and page 7 for CuEq formula.

* Cautionary Statement: Visual estimates of mineral abundance should never be considered a proxy or substitute for laboratory analysis where concentrations or grades are the factor of principal economic interest. Visual estimates may also provide no information about impurities or deleterious physical properties relevant to valuations.

  • 24LHRD064 – extends from 104m, which returned 104m @ 0.37% CuEq from surface to EOH, including 44m @ 0.50%CuEq from 22m.

  • 24LHRD065 – extends from 105m, which returned 105m @ 0.71% CuEq from surface to EOH, including 26m @ 1.0% CuEq from 78m.
  • 24LHRD055 – extends from 83m, which returned 81m @ 0.53% CuEq from 2m to EOH.

Key Objectives

  • Expand known oxide copper mineralisation at Ferro South and Ferro Central.
  • Test strike and depth extensions beneath shallow oxide zones.
  • Evaluate porphyry sulphide targets with potential for higher-grade copper-gold mineralisation

Geological Context

Llahuin sits within a highly prospective belt of central Chile known for world-class porphyry copper deposits. Mineralisation is hosted in a multi-phase intrusive complex with classic potassic, phyllic, and argillic alteration – hallmarks of a fertile porphyry system.

Near-surface oxide copper – malachite, chrysocolla, and atacamite – extends across multiple target areas, with recent surface exposure confirming continuity. Beneath this oxide blanket, the Company is targeting primary sulphide mineralisation (chalcopyrite and bornite) with potential for higher copper grades. Anomalous molybdenum pathfinder elements and favourable alteration signatures support the interpretation of significant exploration upside.

Next Steps

Drilling is underway. First assay results are expected within the coming weeks and the Company will provide updates as results are received and interpreted.
