⚒️ Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited advises that diamond drilling is progressing at its 100%-owned Llahuin Copper-Gold-Molybdenum Project in Chile with chalcocite logged at Ferro South, following the copper intercepts reported to ASX on 4 August and 1 September 2026.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • One-third of current 2,000m diamond drilling program completed with first assays pending for late November 2026
  • Extension drilling in hole 24LHRD067 (241m @ 0.42% CuEq, incl. 143m @ 0.51% CuEq (ASX: 4 Aug 2026) has logged both chalcocite (Cu2S) and chalcopyrite (CuFeS2) mineralisation
  • Planned circa 300m extension of DDLLA028 at Cerro focused on identifying the porphyry feeder zone using Cu isotopic analysis provided by consultant VectOres
  • New copper-gold prospect added to drilling this program with an historic hole 8m @ 3.67g/t gold, from 45m with no copper assays done (RCLLA009) and field work following recent rains cutting back river banks identified chalcocite in outcrop

Southern Hemisphere Mining Chairman Mark Stowell commented:

“We’re drilling at Ferro South to test how far this copper system extends. Logging the chalcocite in 24LHRD067 is further encouragement. Chalcocite contains around 80% copper by weight, more than double chalcopyrite, and has beneficial processing qualities.

The other key test is depth/feeder zones. Extending DDLLA028 to ~650–750m is designed to test whether a feeder zone sits beneath the system utilising some of the most recent technology with VectOres.

With drilling running 24/7 and first assays due late November, we expect to add more to Llahuin’s potential before year end. A new possibly higher-grade copper-gold prospect added to the drill program provides further scope to Llahuin’s potential endowment.”

Drilling program

The initial diamond program comprises ~2,000m, designed to extend the existing Mineral Resource at the Cerro Ferro and Ferro South zones. Holes are planned ~250m to the deepest test ~650- 750m, with scope to extend the program depending on results. To date, 3 holes for 658.2m have been completed (Figure 1, Appendix 1). The rig is now moving to the deep hole at Cerro to target the feeder zone.

Deeper drilling to test potential feeder zone

DDLLA028 is a historic diamond hole that ended at 401m. It will be re-entered and extended to ~650750m to test for a feeder zone for the Cerro deposit. The extension is part of the initial ~2,000m program.

The target is based on our team’s work as well as recent technological advancements using copper isotope analysis with VectOres as reported to the ASX on 30 September 2026. (Figure 2).

New Gold-Copper Target

A new gold-copper target has been identified at Llahuin with one historic hole (RCLLA009) intersecting 8m at 3.67g/t gold and not assayed for copper or any other elements.

Field work this week in the area identified significant outcrop of the possible source of this result as recent heavy rains have eroded the banks back to bedrock. (Figure 9 below). A drillhole is planned in this program to further test this target.

The historic pulps from RC drilling are held in the Company core store shed and are being sent to the laboratory for full multi-element analysis (except gold as already done).

Next steps

Core is cut and dispatched to the laboratory in batches. Initial assay results are expected toward the end of November 2026, based on standard laboratory turnaround times. Further results will be reported as they become available.
