⚒️ Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited reports the third diamond drillhole of the Phase I program at Southern Porphyry, has been commenced at Target K. The Southern Porphyry Target sits within the Company’s Llahuin Copper-Gold Project in Chile, with a full update below from Joint Venture partner FMR Resources.
- Data collected from Targets A and C collectively refine the interpreted position of the Southern Porphyry system and support targeting of a new drillhole at Target K
- Target K defined by structural, alteration, and geophysical vectors
- Downhole geophysical probing has been completed on Target C with processing progressing before being integrated with existing MT, IP, and magnetic models
FMR Managing Director, Mr Oliver Kiddie, commented:
“The integration of results from Targets A and C have defined Target K as the compelling new target to drill test. Target C yielded critically important geological, structural, and geophysical information that, combined with Target A, has refined our interpretation of the Southern Porphyry system. These vectors have resulted in a drillhole designed to test the interpreted location of the core of this extensive porphyry system.”

Target K drill collar is located ~250m south-west of Target A and ~400m east-south-east of Target C.
The drillhole is designed to test a corridor between Targets A and C defined by geological, structural, and geophysical vectors.
Downhole geophysical data from Target C is currently being processed before integration with existing surface models and downhole data from Target A.
Target K
Based on integration of geological observations, petrography, and structural vein orientation data from 25LHDD070 and 25LHDD071, the next drillhole is planned to collar on Target K – 26LHDD072 (see Figures 1 and 2).
The proposed drillhole will be oriented at an azimuth of 305° and dip of –68°, targeting a ~500m corridor between Targets A and C. Interpretation of alteration patterns in 25LHDD070 suggests a southward vector toward this position, while structural analysis of vein orientations from both 25LHDD070 and 25LHDD07 indicate a potential fluid source located between the two holes.
The drillhole is also designed to extend toward the MT anomaly at depth, subject to the final interpretation of geophysical probe logging data from 25LHDD071 once integrated with data from 25LHDD070.

Geological Setting
The Southern Porphyry target is located within a six-kilometre-long mineralised corridor within the Llahuin Project, which hosts multiple copper–gold–molybdenum porphyry centres (see Figure 3).
Field mapping completed in June and July 2025 identified argillic alteration, silicification and epithermal quartz veining at the surface, along with zones of secondary copper mineralisation assemblages typical of the upper levels of a copper porphyry system. Re-logging of historic drillholes confirmed these features at depth, with intervals showing hydrothermal alteration, silicification, and disseminated chalcopyrite–pyrite mineralisation.
These observations suggest a telescoped system, characterised by epithermal-style veining and alteration preserved above a deeper porphyry core.

Next Steps
- Complete drilling of 25LHDD072 at Target K.
- Complete integration of downhole geophysical data from Targets A and C.
- Provide further updates regarding results, interpretation and drilling progress.
