Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited presented ‘The Llahuin Story Presentation‘ to the MEGWA Monthly Meeting in late November 2022.

Southern Hemisphere Mining’s Exploration Manager Adam Anderson and Senior Geologist Melanie Hickman prepared the presentation focusing on findings from the Company’s Geoscience Driven Exploration at the Company’s Llahuin Copper-Gold-Moly Project (Llahuin’s current endowment is 680,000t CuEq and expanding) in the Coquimbo region of Chile, with Hickman delivering it in person at the monthly meeting in Perth.

Two excerpts are below – with the full presentation here.

Hickman reflects on the work done by the Company this year – particularly the re-interpretation of the Llahuin system in Chile.

The Southern Hemisphere team made serious headway into unlocking the potential of the Llahuin Project in a very short time.

Using good old-fashioned boots-on-ground geology at Llahuin, then integrating observations and data-based geoscience, we completely revised the interpretation of the mineralising system.

This is being used for targeting exploration into new areas now considered to have high prospectivity.

Simple organisation, data efficiency and low-cost exploration methods have allowed real-time results to influence the direction of exploration.

Recent results speak for themselves and demonstrate not only the effectiveness of the exploration strategy but also suggests the revised interpretation is closer to the truth than ever before; understanding the asset was key to unlocking the exciting opportunities residing at Llahuin.

You can watch the Full Presentation fronted by Hickman on The Australian Institute of Geoscientist’s YouTube Channel below (starts at 43mins).
